Jessie Brennan

Jessie is an artist, researcher and educator whose work is concerned with the inter-relations between site, image and the social. Jessie’s practice focuses on the role of artists in fostering solidarities with working-class communities and their ‘right to the city’. Jessie has exhibited extensively in the UK and Europe, and her work is held in public and private collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City. She has more than 15 years’ professional experience leading socially engaged projects, most recently Custom House, Our House funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund (2024-25). Recent selected commissions include projects for Drawing Room (2023), UP Projects (2019), South London Gallery (2018), and Metal Culture (2015). Her authored books include Custom House, Our House (2025), Re: development (2016) and Regeneration! (2015). She is currently Tutor (Research) in Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art. www.jessiebrennan.co.uk
