Key Considerations for Meaningful Youth Engagement
This event is for young people and all those who work (or want to work) with them.
A Creative Newham event developed in collaboration with Robin Lockhart- Catalyst in Communities CIC, and with support from the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability, UEL and London Youth.
This panel discussion & workshop will explore what meaningful youth engagement looks like in practice. Through panel discussion, interactive activities, and shared learning, participants will gain practical tools and strategies for developing impactful youth engagement approaches within arts and community settings.
Young peopleβs voices and lived experience will be centred at this event and form the majority of the panel. The session is particularly aimed at small grassroots and community organisations and young people.

Designing Inclusive Events with Limited Resource
Join Creative Newham for an important workshop-style conversation.
A Creative Newham event developed in collaboration with Robin Lockhart- Catalyst in Communities CIC, and in partnership with Attitude is Everything, Aksana Berdnikova, The Dialogue CafΓ©, The Rix Inclusive Research Institute- UEL, and supported by The Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability.
This practical workshop focuses on embedding accessibility into event planning, design and communications from the outset. Together, weβll explore how organisations and creatives can design more inclusive, welcoming and accessible events, even when working with limited resources.

Creative Newhamβs annual symposium will bring together artists, cultural organisations, funders, and community leaders for a full day of discussion, knowledge sharing, and networking.
The event will explore key themes shaping the local cultural landscape and create space for collaboration, future partnerships, and sector-wide conversations. Planning is currently underway, including programme development, speaker coordination, and delivery logistics.
