At the heart of Creative Newham’s work is our Steering Group, a dedicated collective of partners who help shape, guide and champion our mission.
Meeting quarterly and coordinated by the University of East London, the Steering Group provides strategic direction, critical insight, and a cross-sector perspective to ensure Creative Newham remains responsive, inclusive and impactful.
Chaired by Sanaz Amidi, the group brings together senior representatives from leading organisations across culture, education, regeneration, and local government. Together, they ensure that our work is rooted in the needs of our communities while aligning with borough-wide ambitions for creativity, equity and opportunity.
Our Steering Group represents the power of collaboration—where different sectors work in partnership to realise a shared vision for cultural growth and access in Newham.
