João Guarantani
Executive Director, Bow Arts Trust
João Guarantani joined Bow Arts in September 2025 as Executive Director of Business, leading on partnership development and strategic planning for the organisation. João oversees the Partnerships & Places team, working closely with cultural and commercial partners to increase the impact of Bow Arts’ work across its hub sites, including the Lakeside Centre in Thamesmead, in partnership with Peabody.
João has nearly 20 years' international experience developing cultural programmes that foster innovation, entrepreneurship and social impact, having previously worked at Create London as Head of Strategic Operations, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation as Programme Manager for Circular Design, and in multiple roles at the British Council in the UK and abroad: as Director Arts Europe, Director Arts Mexico and Acting Director of Architecture, Design and Fashion.
João holds an MA in Cultural & Critical Studies from the University of London, a BA in Graphic Design from Central St Martins, University of the Arts London and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
