Natalie Freeman

Public and Community Engagement Lead, University of East London

Natalie is part of the Office for Postgraduates, Research and Engagement at UEL. To describe her role in shorthand, Natalie is a connector - identifying opportunities for partnership development between external organisations and UEL's schools, research centres and institutes. Facilitating relationships to generate new knowledge, Natalie brings together academics and the voluntary, community, faith and statutory sectors to develop collaborative research, knowledge exchange and engagement initiatives. Natalie's work is underpinned by a commitment to non-extractive engagement, encouraging the equalisation of knowledge and conscientiousness around the impact of engagement on communities.
